Compass Rose Academy provides a positive, nurturing environment for teenage girls ages 14-18 struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and issues related to trauma, attachment, or adoption with a variety of acting out behaviors including running away, drug use, risky sexual behavior, self-harm and defiance. Our Growth Model blends intensive clinical services into a holistic Christian environment to treat body, mind, and spirit. Compass Rose Academy’s clinical program features a neuroscience-informed, affect-based approach that utilizes the central role of experience in the therapeutic process. The program also incorporates DBT skills, EMDR, neurofeedback, therapy dogs, and equine therapy to address emotion regulation, mindfulness, and trauma recovery. The evidence-based and trauma-informed Teaching-Family Model is implemented in the milieu for effectively teaching and training students in positive social/interpersonal skills. Compass Rose emphasizes highly active parent engagement through weekly virtual education groups, weekly virtual family therapy, monthly parent support group, and quarterly intensive Parent Weekends. Our beautiful new campus is situated on our 700-acre wooded setting, offering a rural modern feel that emphasizes comfort, charm, safety, natural light, and use of outdoor spaces. Our campus and team highlight the warmth and hospitality of the hoosier heartland. In addition to an online component for credit recovery and acceleration, Compass Rose Academy’s academic program offers innovative and rigorous opportunities based on a Project-Based learning model as well as STEAM courses and vocational opportunities for students. Our partnership with Indiana Wesleyan University provides the opportunity for dual enrollment.
