Lakemary Center, founded in 1969, is located approximately 30 miles south of the Kansas City metro area and serves boys and girls 6-21 with developmental/intellectual disabilities along with concurrent psychiatric illnesses.  Children at Lakemary Center receive special education services in the accredited on-site special purpose school in their 24/7 therapeutic milieu.
