T.C. Harris School is a nationally-recognized residential treatment center and therapeutic school that puts into action the spirit of our work to advocate for and develop the skills of students with intellectual/developmental disabilities with a co-occurring mental health diagnosis.  Our model and philosophy of upholding a strong therapeutic and academic program as the only means to achieve lifelong success for students with special needs sets the stage for our students to excel.

Our treatment program is relationship based, emphasizing positive behavioral supports, collaborative problem solving, and trauma informed care.  Our education program is accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and is aligned with IN Common Core Standards and each student’s IEP goals. We integrate our therapeutic and educational programs to help students locally and from around the country gain the skills and experiences necessary to be successful and as independent as possible in life.
