The Staff Assistant Experience at Ramapo for Children is committed to providing individualized residential support services to neurodiverse young adults ages 18-26, transitioning to greater independence. Located in the picturesque Hudson Valley, Ramapo’s 250 acre campus provides a natural setting for young adults to practice vocational and independent living skills, working in various on campus settings and living in shared apartments. Our “Staff Assistants” are provided with the necessary supports, including mentors, job coaches, social emotional skill building workshops, meaningful recreational programming, and individualized coaching around independent living skills, that promote autonomy and assist young adults in reaching their full potential.
